The following Minutes Excerpt is a true and correct motion of the Redding City Council at its
regular meeting on September 20, 2011:
PRESENT: Council Members Bosetti, Dickerson, Jones, Sullivan, and Mayor McArthur
9.15(b).Successor Memorandum of Understanding - International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers AFL-CIO-Electric Employees (C-2264); and
Resolution - Amending Employee Schedule of Classifications and Wage Rates; and
Resolution - Rescinding paying and reporting the value of Employer Paid Member
Contributions

Recortunendation: Personnel Director DeMaagd summarized the Report to City Council (staff
report) dated September 7,2011, incorporated herein by reference, and recommended that the City
Council approve a successor Memorandum of Understanding with the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Worker~ AFL-CIO-Electric (mEW-Electric) (C-2264); adopt a resolution amending the
mEW-Electric Employees Schedule of Classifications and Wage Rates, effective
September 18, 2011; and adopt a resolution for rescinding paying and reporting the value of
Employer Paid Member Contributions.
Action: A motion was made by Council Member Dickerson, seconded by Council Member Sullivan,
to approve a successor Memorandum of Understanding with the International Brotherhood of
Electrical WorkersAFL-CIO-Electric(mEW-Electric)(C-2264); to adopt Resolution No. 2011-176,
a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding amending the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers-Electric Employees Schedule of Classifications and Wage Rates, effective
September 18,2011; and adopt Resolution No. 2011-177, a resolution of the City Council oftheCity
of Redding rescinding paying and reporting the value of Employer Paid Member Contributions
effective September 20, 2011.

RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - 176
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL
WORKERS - ELECTRIC EMPLOYEES SCHEDULE OF CLASSIFICATIONS
AND WAGE RATES, EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 18,2011
WHEREAS, staffhas recommended that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
- Electric Employee Schedule of Classifications and Wage Rates be amended as set forth in the
attached Exhibit "A," effective September 18,2011; and
WHEREAS, the governing body ofthe City of Redding deems it to be in the best interest of
the City to adopt such recommendations; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, governing body of the City
of Redding, that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Electric Employee Schedule
of Classifications and Wage Rates be amended as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A," effective
September 18,2011.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced, read, and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 20th day of September, 2011, by the
