RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - 160
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
FOR RESCINDING PAYING AND REPORTING THE VALUE OF
EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Redding has the authority to implement Government
Code Section 206369 (c) (4) pursuant to Section 20691; and
WHEREAS, the governing body ofthe City of Redding has a written labor policy or agreement which
specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer, and reported as
additional compensation; and
WHEREAS, one ofthe steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the adoption by the
governing body of the City of Redding of a Resolution to commence paying and reporting the value of said
Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Redding has identified the following conditions for
the purpose of its election to pay EPMC;
· . This benefit shall apply to all employees of Unrepresented Employee Group.
· This benefit shall consist of paying 0% ofthe normal contributions as EPMC, and reporting
the same percent (value) of compensation earnable** {excluding Government Code Section
20636(c)(4)} as additional compensation effective August 7, 2011.
The effective dateofthis Resolution shall be July 19, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, governing body ofthe City of
Redding, elects to pay and report the value of EPMC, asset forth above.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolu~ion was introduced, read, and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council ofthe City of Redding on the 19th day of July, 2011, by the following vote:
