HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2011-062 - Jim Hamilton ;. :. e e RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - 62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING COMMENDING JIM HAMIL TON FOR OUTSTANDING DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF REDDING WHEREAS, Jim Hamilton began his career with the City of Redding as Planning Manager on April 19, 1999, and was appointed Director of Development Services on February 20,2000; and WHEREAS, during his II-year tenure as Development Services Director, Mr. Hamilton has successfully addressed some of the largest, most complex land development proposals in the history of the City of Redding, including management of the preparation and adoption of the following: . 2000 General Plan; . 2002 Zoning Ordinance revision; . Parkview Neighborhood Revitalization Plan; . Redding Downtown Specific Plan; . Oasis Road Specific Plan; . Comprehensive update of the Development Impact Fee Ordinance; . Innumerable land development projects during the greatest period of development activity ever experienced by the City; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton has earned the respect of his fellow staff members, Planning Commissioners, and the City Council for his dedication to the best interests of the City; and WHEREAS, his vast knowledge, experience, and vision in the Planning field has assisted the Planning Commission and City Council in making the City a better place to work and play; and WHEREAS, the integrity, professionalism, and leadership skills of Mr. Hamilton have contributed to establishing the Development Services Department as an effective and efficient element of City government; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton's leadership, mentoring, strength, sense of humor, and professional example improved the performance, earned the respect, and gained the affection ofthe Development Services staff.
