ORDINANCE NO. 2459 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING AN ADDENDUM TO THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP; AND AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP, REZONING CERTAIN PARCELS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH POLICIES OF THE NORTH MARKET STREET FOCUS AREA OF THE GENERAL PLAN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section I. Findings offact: The City Council finds and declares as follows: A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made a part of Redding Municipal Code Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance. B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to amendments to the Zoning Map on April 13, 2010; and recommended that the City Council adopt the attached amendments to the Zoning Map. C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on this date, prior to the first reading ofthis Ordinance. D. The proposed amendments to the Zoning Map are consistent with the General Plan and any applicable specific plans. E. Adoption of this ordinance will not impact the welfare of the citizens of Redding and its surrounding region. Section 2. The City Council hereby adopts the Addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map. Section 3. The City Council hereby adopts the amendments to the City of Redding Zoning Map, attached hereto and made a part hereof, to be incorporated in Redding Municipal Code Title 18 entitled Zoning Ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certifY to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
