ORDINANCE NO. 2453
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING
TITLE 11 (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC), CHAPTER 24
(STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING) BY AMENDING
SECTION 11.24.060 (ANGLE PARKING) TO ESTABLISH
ANGLE PARKING ON SACRAMENTO STREET BETWEEN
ITS INTERSECTIONS WITH CALIFORNIA STREET AND
PINE STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Title II (Vehicles and Traffic), Chapter 24 (Stopping, Standing and Parking),
Section 11.24.060 (Angle Parking) is amended as follows:
11.24.060
(Angle Parking)
A.
Angle parking is authorized on the following streets:
I. [No change to subsections A.I through A.22]
23. On the south and north sides of Sacramento Street between California Street
and Pine Street.
B. The City Engineer shall have the pavement on all paved streets within the parking
area whereon angle parking is authorized marked off with straight white lines
running obliquely from the curb, and vehicles shall be parked between such lines.
Where no pavement exists, vehicles shall be parked as closely as possible to the edge
of the roadway at an angle of approximately forty-five degrees.
C. The City Council may by ordinance designate additional streets whereon angle
parking is authorized.
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable.
The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance,
or the invalidity of the application thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity
of the remainder of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances.

Section 3. The passage ofthis ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition in
the California Environmental Quality Act, and is therefore not subject to the provisions requiring
environmental review.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption,
and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City Council
at a regular meeting on the 6th day of April, 2010; and was duly read and adopted at a regular
meeting on the 20th day of April, 2010, by the following vote:
