ORDINANCE NO. 2426
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING
TITLE 2 (ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL),CHAPTER
2.90 (CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR DESIGNATED
POSITIONS OF THE CITY) OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL
CODE BY AMENDING SECTIONS 2.90.02, REPEALING
APPENDIX A AND APPENDIX B FROM THE CITY'S
CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE AND RE-ADOPTING AN
UPDATED APPENDIX A AND APPENDIX B FOR THE CITY
AND THE AGENCIES AND ENTITIES FOR WHICH THE
CITY SERVES AS CODE REVIEWING BODY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Title 2, Chapter 2.90 (Conflict ofInterest for Designated Positions of the
City), section 2.90.020 is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.90.020 Adoption.
The provisions of Title 2, Section 18730, ofthe California Code of Regulations, as amended by the
Fair Political Practices Commission from time-to-time, together with the respective (1) Appendix
"A" and (2) Appendix "B," on file in the Office of the City Clerk and periodically updated by
resolution of the City Council, shall constitute the Conflict ofInterest Code ofthe City and for each
agency for which the City serves as the Code Reviewing Body.
Section 2. Appendix "A" and Appendix "B" appearing in Chapter 2.90 ofthe Redding
Municipal Code are hereby repealed and re-adopted in the form as attached hereto as Attachment
1 to this Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the City of Redding.
Section 3. Appendix "A" and Appendix "B" attached hereto as Attachment 2 to this
Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the Redding Area Bus Authority for
which the City Council serves as Code Reviewing Authority.
Section 4. Appendix "A" and Appendix "B" attached hereto as Attachment 3 to this
Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the Redding Capital Services Corporation
for which the City Council serves as Code Reviewing Authority.
Section 5. Appendix "A" and Appendix "B" attached hereto as Attachment 4 to this
Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the Redding Housing Authority for which
the City Council serves as Code Reviewing Authority.
Section 6. Appendix "A" and Appendix "B" attached hereto as Attachment 5 to this C1 ~
Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the Redding Joint Powers Financing (.
Authority for which the City Council serves as Code Reviewing Authority. ~

Section 7. Appendix "A" and Appendix "8" attached hereto as Attachment 6 to this
Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the Redding Municipal Library for which
the City Council serves as Code Reviewing Authority.
Section 8. Appendix "A" and Appendix "8" attached hereto as Attachment 7 to this
Ordinance as constituting the Conflict of interest Code for the Redding Redevelopment Agency for
which the City Council serves as Code Reviewing Authority.
Section 9. The Appendix "A" and Appendix "8" referenced above for the City and for
each agency or entity for which the City serves as Code Reviewing Authority, as described in
sections 2 through section 8 of this ordinance may in future be updated by adoption of a City Council
Resolution.
Section 10. The passage ofthis ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition
in the California Environmental Quality Act, and therefore is not subject to the provisions requiring
environmental review.
Section 11. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the
City Clerk shall certifY to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City
Council at a regular meeting on the 2nd day of December, 2008; and was duly read and adopted at
a regular meeting on the 16th day of December, 2008, by the following vote:

5 All reportable interests in real property located in the City and located within or
outside the City if within a two-mile radius of any open space or park property owned
or used by the City. All reportable business positions, investments, or income for any
person, firm or entity which supplies goods or services to the Community Services
Department of the City of Redding, including businesses with leaseholds in City
parks, construction firms, recreational equipment supply firms, financial institutions,
aquatic equipment or supply firms or landscape design or maintenance businesses.
6 All real property, all investment in, all business positions in, or income from
construction firms, building supply firms, engineering firms, architecture firms and
financial institutions.
7 Investments and business positions in business entities, and sources of income from
entities involved in any business relationship with any entity having a history of
making applications before the board or commission which the designated position
serves on.
8 Investments and business positions in business entities, and sources of income from
entities providing supplies, services, equipment or machinery of the type used by the
Redding Main Library, the Burney Branch Library or the Anderson Branch Library.
