A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING THE PROVISIONS OF THE MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND THE REDDING EMPLOYEES ORGANIZATION OF THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION-CLERICAL, TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES' ,UNIT AND SUPERVISORY/ CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES' UNIT, EFFECTIVE APRIL 6, 2008. WHEREAS, the Redding Employees Organization of the Service Employees International Union-Clerical, Technical and Professional Employees' Unit and Supervisory/Confidential Employees' Unit have been formally recognized as the majority representative of appropriate units of employees, as set forth in Section 2. I of Article 2 of the Memorandums of Understanding; and WHEREAS, the designated representatives of the City of Redding have conferred with and entered into Memorandums of Understanding with the designated representatives of the Redding Employees Organization of the Service Employees International Union-Clerical, Technical and Professional Employees' Unit and Supervisory/Confidential Employees' Unit, as required by the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act of 1968; and WHEREAS, copies of the Memorandums of Understanding are available forreview in the office of the City Clerk; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the aforesaid Memorandums of Understanding are hereby approved and shall be effective April 6, 2008.
