HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2003-145 - Certificaon IncentiveA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING THE ADDITION OF CERTIFICATION INCENTIVE STIPENDS TO BASE PAY, STANDBY DUTY POLICY, AND HAZMAT RESPONSE PROGRAM WITH REDDING EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 28, 2003. WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has recommended that the Exempt Employee Schedule of Classifications and Salary Ranges for the Service Employees International Union, Supervisory/Confidential Unit, be amended as set forth in Exhibit "B-3,"and that the Non-Exempt Employee Schedule of Classifications and Salary Ranges for the Service Employees International Union, Clerical, Technical and Professional Unit, be amended as set forth in Exhibit "A-3," effective September 28, 2003, in order to put the certification stipend for the Water Operator classification series in their base pay; and WHEREAS, thePersonnel Director has also recommended implementing the Standby Duty Policy and the Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Response Program with the Redding Employee Organization Service Employees International Union (REO/SEIU); and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City to adopt such recommendations; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that the Exempt Employee Schedule of Classifications and Salary Ranges for the Service Employees International Union, Supervisory/Confidential Unit be amended as set forth in Exhibit "B-3," that the Non- Exempt Employee Schedule of Classifications and Salary Ranges for the Service Employees International Union, Clerical, Technical and Professional Unit, be amended as set forth in Exhibit "A-3," effective September 28, 2003, and that the Standby Duty Policy and The Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Response program be implemented with the Redding Employee Organization Service Employees International Union (REO/SEIU).
