HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2003-132 - Jobs Housing BalanceRESOLUTION NO. 2003- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO, AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO SECURE A JOBS HOUSING BALANCE INCENTIVE GRANT FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. WHEREAS, the City ofRedding, a city within the State of California, applied for and was successful in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) released January 24, 2003, by the State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development (Department) for the Jobs Housing Balance Incentive Grant Program (JI-IBP). Funding for the JI-tBP has been made available pursuant to the Housing and Emergency Shelter Trust Fund of 2002 (Proposition 46); and WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, the Department is authorized to approve funding allocations for the program, subject to the terms and conditions of the NOFA and program application forms. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding: Certifies that the City of Redding shall be subject to the terms and conditions as specified in the standard agreement (Contract). Funds are to be used for allowable expenditures as identified in Attachment A of the Contract. The application in full is incorporated as part of the Contract and any and all activities funded, information provided and timeliness represented in the application are enforceable through the Contract. The City of Redding hereby agrees to use the funds for eligible capital asset(s) in the manner presented in the application as approved by the Department and in accordance with the NOFA and application package. The City of Redding may also execute any and all instruments required by the Department for participation in the JHBP. Appoints the City Manager or his designee to execute in the name of the City of Redding the application, the Standard Agreement, and all other documents required by the Department for participation in the JI-IBP.
