ORDINANCE NO. 2393
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING A
MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND AMENDMENTS TO
THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP, REZONING CERTAIN
PARCELS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THEIR GENERAL PLAN
CLASSIFICATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Findings offact: The City Council finds and declares as follows:
A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made a part of Redding Municipal Code
Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance.
B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to amendments to the Zoning Map
on June 12, 2007 (RZ-15-06), and recommended that the City Council adopt the Mitigated Negative
Declaration and its supporting documentation, including all information in the record for Planned
Development ~lan PD-9-06 ("The Springs at Redding" Planned Development Plan), General Plan
Amendment Application GP A-I 0-06, and Rezoning Application RZ-15-06;
C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on July 3, 2007, prior to the first reading of this
ordinance.
D: The proposed amendments to the Zoning Map are consistent with the General Plan and any applicable
specific plans.
E. Adoption of this ordinance will not impact the welfare of the citizens of Redding and its surrounding
regIOn.
Section 2. The City Council hereby adopts the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for this
matter.
Section 3. The City Council hereby adopts the attached amendments to the City of Redding Zoning
Map, made a part hereof by reference, to be incorporated in Redding Municipal Code Title 18 entitled Zoning
Ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk
shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City Council of
the City of Redding at a regular meeting on the 3rd day of July, 2007, and was duly read and adopted at a special
meeting on the 7th day of August, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Bosetti, Jones, Stegall, and Dickerson
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Murray
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None ~ ~ ~
