RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 56
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN DIAGRAM OF THE
CITY BY ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP A-2-01
WHEREAS, on April 18, 2006, following the required public hearing, the City Council of the City
of Redding determined that the General Plan Diagram be amended by incorporating therein the
changes contained in General Plan Amendment GP A-2-01, involving that property identified as the
Stillwater Business Park site generally located north and south of Rancho Road and east of Stillwater
Creek as follows and as shown on the map attached hereto:
From "General Industry"; "Park"; "Residential, 5 acres"; and "Greenway" to "General Industry"
(397 acres) and "Greenway" (364 acres). The General Plan amendment would also eliminate a future
extension of Rancho Road east ofthe project site as shown on the General Plan Land Use Diagram.
WHEREAS, following the required notice in accordance with law, the City Council held a public
hearing and carefully considered the evidence at the hearing;
WHEREAS, the City Council, having reviewed Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental
Impact Report EIR-1-00, stating that with mitigation, the project has no significant impact upon the
environment with the exception of Overriding Findings made for unavoidable cumulative air quality
impacts, and approved an amendment to the General Plan Diagram of the City of Redding by
incorporating therein the changes contained in General Plan Amendment GP A-2-01 by adoption of
Resolution No. 2006-59.
WHEREAS, the area of General Plan Amendment GP A-2-01 is located within the boundary of the
Redding Airport Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP).
WHEREAS, the Shasta County Airports Land Use Commission (ALUC) is responsible for
reviewing proposed changes to the Redding General Plan that effect land within the Redding Airport
CLUP boundary for a determination of consistency with the Redding Airport CLUP.
WHEREAS, as stated in Resolution No. 2006-59, the City Council action on General Plan
Amendment GP A - 2-01 does not have the force and effect oflaw and shall not become effective until
a determination of consistency by the Shasta County ALUC.
WHEREAS, on March 21, ~007, the Shasta County ALUC determined that GP A-2-0 1 is consistent
with the Redding Airport CLUP by unanimous approval of ALUC Resolution 2007-01, amending
the Redding Airport CLUP land use diagram.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that General Plan Amendment GP A-2-01 is approved
and effective as shown on the maps attached and made a part hereof.
