ORDINANCE NO. 2379
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING AN
ADDENDUM TO THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
PREPARED FOR THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP AND
AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP,
REZONING CERTAIN PARCELS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THEIR
GENERAL PLAN CLASSIFICATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN As FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Findings offact: The City Council finds and declares as follows:
A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made a part of Redding Municipal Code
Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance.
B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to amendments to the Zoning Map
on November 14, 2006 (RZ-14-06), and recommended that the City Council adopt the Addendum to the
Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map and the attached amendments
to the Zoning Map pertaining thereto.
C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on December 19, 2006 (RZ-14-06), prior to the first
reading of this ordinance.
D. The proposed amendments to the Zoning Map are consistent with the General Plan and any applicable
specific plans.
E. Adoption of this ordinance will not impact the welfare of the citizens of Redding and its surrounding
region.
Section 2. The City Council hereby adopts the Addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration
prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map.
Section 3. The City Council hereby adopts the attached amendments to the City of Redding Zoning
Map, made a part hereofby reference, to be incorporated in Redding Municipal Code Title 18, entitled Zoning
Ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk
shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City Council of
the City of Redding at a regular meeting on the 19th day of December, 2006, and was duly read and adopted at
a regular meeting on the 2nd day of January, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Bosetti, Jones, Murray, Stegall, and Dickerson
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
