ORDINANCE NO. 2377
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING APPENDIX
"A" TO REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 2.90 ENTITLED
CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR DESIGNATED POSITIONS OF THE
CITY.
The City Council of the City of Redding does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Redding Municipal Code Chapter 2.90 is amended by adopting a new
Appendix "A" to the Conflict of Interest Code, a copy of which is attached and made a part hereof
by reference.
Section 2. The passage ofthis ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition in
the California Environmental Quality Act and, therefore, is not subject to the provisions requiring
environmental review.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption and the
City Clerk shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City
Council at a regular meeting on the 7th day of November, 2006; and was duly read and adopted at
a regular meeting on the 5th day of December, 2006, by the following vote:

Consultants shall be included in the list of designated employees and shall disclose pursuant to the broadest disclosure category
in the Conflict ofInterest Code, subject to the following limitations:
The City Manager or his designee may determine in writing that a particular consultant, although a "designated position," is
hired to perform a range of duties that are limited in scope, and thus is not required to fully comply with the disclosure
requirements described in this section. Such written determination shall include a description of the consultant's duties and,
based upon that description, a statement of the extent of disclosure requirements. The determination of the City Manager or
his designee is a public record and shall be retained for public inspection in the same manner and location as this Conflict of
Interest Code.
