Home My WebLink AboutReso 2006-203 - General Municipal Election e e RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 203 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF REDDING ON NOVEMBER 7, 2006 WHEREAS, a Consolidated General Municipal Election was duly held in the City of Redding on the 7th day of November, 2006, for the purpose of electing three City Council Members and a City Clerk for a full term of four years each; and WHEREAS, the Shasta County Clerk has canvassed the returns of the election pursuant to law. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding hereby resolves and declares as follows: 1. That the persons receiving votes for the offices of Council Member, and the total number of votes that each received is as follows: MEMBER CITY COUNCIL Mary Leas Stegall Rick Bosetti Patrick Henry Jones John Mathena Dave Rutledge Jay Gibson TOTAL VOTES 14,772 14,024 10,238 10,151 9,815 8,216 2. That the person receiving votes for the office of City Clerk, and the total number of votes received is as follows: CITY CLERK Connie Strohmayer TOTAL VOTES 21,775 3. That the total number of electors voting at said election was 28,268, and the total number of votes cast for the offices of Council Member and City Clerk was 28,268. 4. That the three (3) candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the offices of Council Member are Mary Leas Stegall, Rick Bosetti and Patrick Henry Jones. e e 5. That the candidate receiving the highest number of votes for the office of City Clerk is Connie Strohmayer. 6. That the number of votes cast for each of the candidates for the offices of Council Member and the office of City Clerk at each precinct, and the absentees, are as set forth and shown on the attached tally and made a part hereof by reference. 7. That Mary Leas Stegall, Rick Bosetti and Patrick Henry Jones are hereby declared to have been elected as Council Members of the City of Redding for a full term of four years each, effective December 5,2006. 8. That Connie Strohmayer is hereby declared to have been elected as City Clerk of the City of Redding for a full term of four years, effective December 5, 2006.
