ORDINANCE NO. 2363 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING TITLE 14 (UTILITIES), CHAPTER 14.18 (STORM DRA][NAGE UTILITY) BY AMENDING SUBSECTION C OF SECTION 14.18.200 (ENCROACHMENT PERMITS AND PLAN REVIEW) RELATING TO CHANGES TO CONTRACTOR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS WHEREAS, because an amendment to the Redding Municipal Code to more precisely and clearly reflect the contractor licensing requirements for contractors connecting into the City's storm drainage system is desirable; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCil Of THE CITY OF REDDING AS FOllOWS: Section 1. Title 14 (Utilities), Chapter 14.18 (Storm Drainage Utility) of the Redding Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsection C of section 14.18.200 to read as follows: 14.08.200 Encroachment permits and plan review A. [No Change] B. [No Change] C. Connection to the City Storm Drain system shall be performed only by contractors who meet the following requirements as a minimum: 1. They shalll possess a Class A or Class C-34 contractors license as duly issued by the California Contractors State License Board; and 2. They have: posted a bond with the City in the amount determined by the Department of Public Works; 3. They provide insurance as required by the City's Risk Manager. Section 2. The passage ofthis ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition in the California Environmental Quality Act, and therefore is not subject to the provisions requiring environmental review. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law. 1 o ..,.a t> r D ~ c..J 0- 1,,0) . .
