Re: 4.5(b)--Award of Bia'Schedule No. 5717- Padmount Distribution Switches Page 2
The Purchasing Division distributed thirteen bid opportunity notices, posted Bid Schedule No.
5717 on the City's website, and advertised the solicitation as a legal notice in the Record
Searchlight.
On July 30, 2026, staff opened bids for Bid Scheduled NO. 5717, with five bids received. Mader
Supply LLC submitted the low bid at a total delivered cost of $451,947.21. Bidders were
required to submit a technical information statement and supporting technical specification
sheets with their bids. Staff completed a technical review and evaluation of the low bid submittal
and determined the bid to be responsive to the technical and general specifications, and Mader
Supply LLC to be a responsible bidder.
The award is a one-time order for the quantities bid and does not establish an ongoing or
continuing agreement. The requested contingency authorization of$90,000 provides flexibility to
address unforeseen cost increases associated with material, labor, or supply chain fluctuations
prior to delivery, without requiring staff to return to the Council.
Environmental Review
This is not a project defined under the California Environmental Quality Act, and no fiirther
action is required.
