W E A5,pursuant to Redding Municipal Code Section 2.17.01�,the City af Redding's
(City) general municipal election shall be held c�n Tuesday,November 3, 2026; and
V6'lH[E AS, it is desirable that the general municipal election be consolidated with the
Statewide General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3,,Zt?26, and that, within the City,
precincts,polling places, and election officers af the twcr elections be th�same,and that the Shasta
Caunty Elections Depa�-trnent canvass the returns of the general municipal election, and that the
electian be held in all respects as if th�re was flnly one election;

l. Pursuant to the requirelnents of'Elections Code Section 10403:
{a) The Baard af Supervisors of the County of Shasta is hereby xequested to consent
and agree to the consolidation of a general rnunicipal election with the statewide
general election on Tuesday,November 3, 2026.
(b} The offices and measures to be vc�ted upon at the election on Tuesday; November
3, 2026, are as follows:
- Three City Cc�uncil seats (four-year terms},
- City Clerk{fflur-year term); and
- Any City ballot measure timely approved fc�r placement consistent with
Elections Code Section 10403.
(c) The election shall be cc�nducted in all respects as a single cannsolidated election,and
only one ballot form shall be used.
2. The County Electi�ns Department is authorized to canvass the returns of the general
municipal election. The Election shall be held in all respects as if there was anly one
election and only one farm of ballot shall be used.
3. The Board of Supervisars is rec�uestedl to issue instructions to the �c�unty Elections
I7epartment to take any and all steps necessary for holding#he consolidated election.
4. The City shall reimburse the County for the City's propartionate shate of all reasonable
and actually incurred consolidation costs, as invoiced by the Caurzty,

Baard of Supervisors and the Shasta County Elections Department.
