A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF
REDDING AUTHORIZING THE E)2CUTION OF A YEAR
LEASE, BY THE CITY OF REDDING WITH THE S AT OF
CALIFORNIA OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY UPON WHICH TO
CONSTRUCT A NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY.
WHEREAS9 the State of California through the office
of the Adjutant General has requested the City of Redding to
provide a location on City -owned property upon which said
State can construct a National Guard Armory, and
''REAS, the City of Redding has authority under
Section 37392 of the Government Code of the State of California
to lease City, -owned property for a period not to exceed _29.
years for armory and/or other military purposes, and
WHEREAS, a thorough study of possible sites has been
made by the Planning Commission and the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF REDDING AS FOLL0WS:
to That the foregoing recitals, and each of them
are true and correct.
2. That it is deemed to be in the best interest of
the City of Redding to provide a suitable location for the
construction of a national Guard Armory.
3. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to
execute a lease agreement on behalf of the City of Redding
with the State of Cplifornia, office of the Adjutant General,,
said lease to be for a period of years from date of
execution.
4. That the property subject to said lease shall
be that certain real property described as follows, to wit:
