WHE AS, the City of Redding proposes to impiement the State of California l�epartrnent of
Water Resources Riverine Stewardship Progr�rn; and
EREA�,the City of Redding has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding
agreement with the State of Galifornia; and
WHE AS, the City of Redding intends to apply for grant funding from the CalifQrnia
Department of Water Resources for the Riverine 5tewardship Program;
NOW, TIIE I+'C� , �E IT S+DLVED by the City Cauncil of fhe City of Redding as
fo�lc�ws:
1. That,pursuant and subject to all of the terrns and provisians c�f the Costa-Machado V�ater
Act of 2000 (Wat. Code, � 79000 et seq.); the City of Redding Public Works Director, or
des�ignee, is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an applicatic�n for funding
�ith the Departm�nt of VJater Resources and take such other aetians necessary c�r
appropriate to abtain grant funding,
2. The City ofRedding Fublic Wc�rks I)irector;or designee,is hereby authorized and directed
to execute the fiinding agreement with the Department af Water Resaurces and any
amendments thereto.
3. The Cit�ofRedding Public Works I�irector,or designee, is hereby autharized and directed
to subrnit any required documents, invc�ices,and reparts required to t�btain grant funding,
I �IE BY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council ofthe City of Redding on the 20`h day af January, 2026, and was duly adopted at said
meeting by the following vote;
