Recommendation Authorize and approve the Mayor's recommendation to make the following appointments and reappointments to the City of Redding Community Services Advisory Commission: (1) Reappoint James Finck to serve a second full four-year term January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2029; (2) Appoint Christina Prosperi to serve a four-year term January l, 2026, through December 31, 2029; and (3) Appoint Julia Parsons to service a four-year term January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2029. Fiscal Impact There is no impact to the General Fund. AZteNnative Action The City Council (Council) could choose not to approve the Mayor's recommendation and provide staff with alternative direction. Background/Analysis The Community Services Advisory Commission (CSAC) was established to make recommendations to Council and the Community Services Department regarding the establishment of policies which encourage and maintain a systemized program of leisure activities available to residents and visitors of the City, and to consider issues pertaining to parks, recreation, and tourism. Members sha11 be residents of the City, employed within the City, or own a business located within the City. Members serve two consecutive full terms of four-years. Report to Redding City Council December 12, 2025 Re: 5.1--Mayor s appointments to Community Services Advisory Commission Page 2 CSAC Member James Finck will complete his first four-year term ending December 31, 2025, and is eligible to be reappointed to a second term ending December 31, 2029. He has expressed interest in continuing to serve and would be an asset to the commission. CSAC Member Joshua Divine has served two full terms and is ineligible to be reappointed. Christina Prosperi has expressed interest in serving and would be an asset to the commission. If appointed, Ms. Prosperi's term would be January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2029. CSAC Member Denise Yergenson has served two full terms and is ineligible to be reappointed. Julia Parsons has expressed interest in serving and would be an asset to the commission. If appointed, Ms. Parsons' term would be January l, 2026, through December 31, 2029. EnviNonmental Review This is not a project de�ned under the California Environmental Quality Act, and no further action is required.
