Recommendation Approve the following City of Redding Local Appointments List for each City of Redding Board, Commission, and Committee,relative to 2025-26 term expirations and vacancies to fulfill the requirements of Government Code Section 549'72 (Maddy Act): (1) Exhibit A - A list of all appointive terms which will expire during the next calendar year, with the name of the incumbent appointee, the date of appointment, the date the term expires, and the necessary qualifications for the position; and (2) Exhibit B - A list of all boards, commissions, and committees whose members serve at the pleasure of the Council and the necessary qualifications for each position. Fiscal Impact There is no impact to the General Fund with this action. Alternative Action The City Council (Council) could decline to approve the Local Appointments List, consisting of E�ibits A and B. This would result in the City of Redding being in violation of Government Code Section 54972. Background/Analysis Gov�rnment Code Section 549'72 provides that on or befor� December 31 of each year, a list of appointments of all ongoing boards, commissions, and committees appointed by the Council shall be prepared and submitted as follows: • A list of all appointive terms which will expire during the next calendar year, with the name of the incumbent appointee, the date of appointment, the date the term expires, and the necessary qualifications for the position—Exhibit A; and � A list of all boards, commissions, and committees whose members serve at the pleasure of the Couneil and the neeessary qualifieations for each position—E�ibit B.
