Attachments ^ Ordinance No. 2688 - Title 11 Speed Limits First reading done: 1212/2025 For adoption on: 12/16/2025 5-0 CC agenda item# 4(e) ORDINANCE NO. 2688 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING TITLE ll (VEI3ICLES AND TRAFFZC) CI3APTER 11.12 (SPEED LIMITS) BY AMENDING SECTION 11.12.010 TO UPDATE VOLUME II, ALL RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN CTTY STREETS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l. Title 11 (Vehicles and Traffic), Chapter 1112 (Speed Limits), Section 11.12.010 is amended to read in its entirety as follows: 11.12.010 -Established on certain streets. A. In accordance with the provisions of Sections 22357 and 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, the City has had engineering and traffic surveys prepared by the Public Works Department in cooperation with the Police Department, which surveys include the streets or portions of streets set forth in this Chapter. B. Considering the recommendations resulting from the surveys, the City Council has determined that the following speed limits shall be established to provide an orderly and safe movement of traffic, and that such speed limits are reasonable in each respective street location: SPEED LIMITS ON VARIOUS STREETS VOLUME II 1. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance and the application o� such provision will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. This ordinance shall take effect thiriy(30) days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to 1aw.
