WHEREAS, Steve Bade began his career witl� tlte City of Reddirt� {City) on January 12, 1998, and has served as
Housing Teehnician, Housing Specialist, Project Coordinator for tl�e forrner Redding RedevelopmeiYt Agency, Colnrnunity
Development Manager, Director of Housing; Director of Airports, 1Jirectc�r of Economic Development a��d Innovatic�n,
Executive Officer of the Redding Area Btis Atrthority, Deputy City Manager, Assistant City Manager, and Iilterirn City
Ma��ager,and
WHEREAS,Mr. Bade has effectively and expertly rnanaged the direction,organizatiotl,and aperatiolZ aftl7e City's
various departments and e�nployees;ai�d

Manager and Interim Ciiy Manager,and was instrumental in accamplishing the following:

� Removal of t1�e Downkown Mall roof;
* Creatioli and demolition ofthe Market Street Pro�nenade;
• Demolition af the California Street Parkiiig Structure;
• Restoration af the Downtown street grid;
« I?evelopment of the Fine Street Lofts,Market Center,and Block 7 Developments;
• Developmerlt of Whistle Stop Park;
* Led the effort in a successful grant application to receive aver $22.5 million fro�n tile State af California,
Departrnent af Housing and Community I�e�elopment-CDBG Disaster Recovery Infill Infi•astructti�re Grant for
the develapinent of warkforce housin;�
• Led the effort in a successful grant application to receive over $29 million fro�n the Federal Aviatian
Administration to furld the Redding Regional Airport Runway Reljabilitation Project;
• Led the successful effarts to bring anr Entertainment Zone to tlie Gity of Redding;
• Served as Director of City of Redding Econoir�ic Development Divisian,
• Served as a Director ta the SHASCt?M Board;
• Assisted in the Stillwater Ba,isiness Park design, construction, and sales;
• Facilitated tihe City of Redding Shelter Crisis II7�eclaration ar�d associated shelter projects, including:
• Nations Finest Park Marina Veterans Holne, Pathways Resprte Care Facility, South Market M'rcro Shelter
Community,Good News Rescue Mission Micro-Shelter Village and Day Resource Center;and St.James micro-
shelters;
• Greation of'nutnerous income-qualifying housing projects, including:
• The Woodlands, Lorenz Hotel, FaithWORKS I, II & IIt, East Street Senior Apartments; Kennetf Court I &II�
Kennett Senior Apartments, Center pf Hape, Alturas Crossing, Lawden Lane Apartments, Piper Way Senior
Apartments, Redding Hotel, Heritage Plaza, Saint Claire Court, Shadawbrook Apartments, Laurel Glen
Apartments, Moiantain Vistas, Waldon House, and many others;
s Assisted vaith Stillwater Business Park developments — Pace Engineering, Frito Lay, and Amazon Last Mile
facilities;
• Assisted the City through the dissolution of the Redding Redevelopment Agency and the creation of the Successor
Agency�nd Successc�r Housing Agency;
• Assisted in lea�ling the cammunity and staff through the Carr Fire Response, including post-disaster recovery and
sti-eamlining permitting to aid in efficient rebuilding,
� Led Redding Regional Airport's efforts and its stafFto irnprove air service developineut that included United Airlines
fligllts ta I�enver, and was 'rr�st►�ufneixtal i�l gaining tlYe community's firtar�cia� support for tlle tnini�num re�venue
guar•antee tllat secured tlie air services;
• Supparted airpo��t infrastructure develapment and fii�ancing to include runway project, parking lot, and han;ar-
developments;
• Helped expand airport staffing i�eeds to support growth;
a (Jversaw tl�e interim appaintment of the City as the Administrative Entity far the NorCal Co��tinuurn of Care;

• Served as Housing Authority Executive Director with cot�sistent recognition froin U.S. Depar-tment of Urban
Developine��t as a High Perfarming Agency;
WHEREAS, Mr: Bade served as a Board Mernber of Superiar California Ecor�olnic Developmei7t and Sitnpsan
University Advisory Coitncil; and
W REAS,Mr.Bade's professional association melnberships include tl�e International City/Courity Management
Assnciatian(ICiVIA), and served as a meinber of the I.,eague of California Cities Sacrarnento Valley Division City Managers
Area-Group; and
