SUBJECT: 1.D--Annual City Council Reorganization
Recommendation
Selection of the City of Redding Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Mayor Pro Tempore, for a one-year
term from December 2, 2025, to December 1, 2026.
Background/Analysis
The City Council (Council) typically reorganizes at its first meeting in December of each year.
The Redding Municipal Code, Chapter 2.04, does not specify how the Council will select the
new Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Mayor Pro Tempore. Council Members Jack Munns, Mike Littau,
and Erin Resner currently serve as Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Mayor Pro Tempore, respectively.
