A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
TERMINATING THE EMERGENCY FOR SOUTH BONNYVIEW
STORM DRAIN PROJECT AND PARKVIEW SEWER SIPHON REPAIR
PROJECT
WHEREAS, Public Contract Code section 22050 and Redding Municipal Code 4.22.120(A) provide
that, in the case of emergency, a public agency may repair or replace a public facility, take any directly
related and immediate action required by that emergency, and procure the necessary equipment,
services, and supplies for those purposes without giving notice for bids to let contracts; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2025-011, authorizing
emergency action pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22050 and Redding Municipal Code
4.22.120(A) to repair the failed culvert and roadway at the South Bonnyview Boat Launch access
road, and repair the exposed Parkview sewer siphon within Linden Creek Channel; and
WHEREAS, work has been completed to repair the failed culvert, reestablish the roadway above the
failed culvert and the facility is back open to the public; and
WHEREAS, the sewer siphon structure has been safeguarded and the exposed embankment within
Linden Creek Channel has been reestablished; and
WHEREAS, it is contemplated that any further work on South Bonnyview Storm Drain Project and
Parkview Sewer Siphon Repair Project can be completed by giving notice for bids to let contracts;
1. The City Council of the City of Redding finds that the recitals set forth above are true and correct
and are hereby adopted as findings of fact.
Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22050 and Redding Municipal Code 4.22.120(A),
the City Council herby partially terminates the emergency action declared by Resolution No.
2025-011, solely with respect to the following projects:
South Bonnyview Storm Drain Project; and
Parkview Sewer Siphon Repair Project,
3. The emergency declaration under Resolution No. 2025-011 shall remain in effect for all other
projects and actions not specifically terminated by this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 2"d day of December, 2025, by the following vote:
