A S4LUTION OF THE CITY CO►UNCIL !�F THE CITY OF DDING
AMEND►ING THE SCHEDULE OF AI�MINIST TyVE FINES
�HE AS, Redding Mi�nicipal Gode l.13.070 provides that an enforcement offieer of the City
of Redding charged with enforcement of the Redding Mut�icipal Code ("RMC''} shall have
autht�rity to issue administrative citations to any persons xespansible for violation of the RMC;and
WFIE AS,RMC 1.13.09t�provides that the amount of administrative fines imposed shall be set
forth in a schedule of fines established by resolution c�f the City Council; and
E AS, RMC 1.13.090 further provides that the schedule of fines shall specify increased
fines for repeat violations of the RMC; and shall further specify the amount c,f any late payrnent
charges impased for the payment of a fi�1e after its due date; and
�Y�ICE AS, GoVernment Code sections 53069.4 and 369QU establish parameters for the amount
of administrative fines and penalties which may be assessed fc�r violatlons of ardinances which are
denominated as infractions;and
WHE ' AS, on March 19, 2{�19; by Resolution No: 2019-019, the City Council adopted a
Schedule of Administrative �'ines in accorda�ce with RMC l.13.090; and
WHE AS, amendments to the RMC necessitate that the Schedule of Administrative �'ines be
updated;
N��', T E FQ , IT IS S�L�ED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the
fine amaunts far issuance>af administrative citatians assessed pursuant tt� the pr�visions of the
Redding Municipal Code, in�luding provisions far repeat violations and late payrnent charges, are
hereby amended and restated on the document entitled "Schedule of Administrative Fines,"
attached hereta and made a part hereof.
BE IT FUFdT ER S4I..VED that, in assessing the rnerits r�f any case, the Administrative
Hearings Board is hereby vested with authority to reduce any fine set forth in the Schedule of
Administrative Fines as the interests of justice may re�uire.
�� IT FtJRTH�� �OL�ED that the Schedule of Administrative Fines attached hereto and
approved pursuant to this I2esolution shall be effective as of the date of its adoption.

City Council of the City of Redding on the 16tr' day of September, 2025, and was duly adopted at
