Councilman 1�nderson moved that Councilman Haskell and En�ineer ��dri�ht as a
committee be requested and instructed to look into the matter. There was
no second to the motion. GF:E, and Edv:ard Oaks spoke on the possibility
oi building a �rivate airport south of l�eddine; if this one is not opened.

In response to hearin� set for this c�ate, several persons appeared from the
Benton tract to protest carnivals and cirnuses settir� on city property
located in that vicinity. Carl ��nauer and �ric Ostlir� ti+aere the �rincipal
spo�esmen f or the �rcup. Counci]in,en Sv�arts moved, seconded by Councilman
Anderson to prohibit cranivals, but allo�v 2 circuses a year to set on said
