HEALTH DF�ART�viENT
Dr. V. J, Collins, City Health Officer, inquired abou-� the Redding Schoal
Nurse visitin� the local Pa�rochial Schools, but as the City. does not directly
support the City Schools the ma.tter was referred to the School �oa rdo
PLU�IBING ORDINANCE
A representative of the Master Plt:�mbers of Redcling asked that the City adopt
piuinbing re�izlat5_ons in ac�ordance with the State Plumbir� Code. Wit-1� recorrunendation
from the City ��Tanager,�he'.C�;ty Council will look inttc> the m�tter.
PhRKING PROBLEMS �
D. M. Davis brotzght up the matter of parking in front of I�darkets in Redding.
Yarallel and vertical parking were discussed with the City t�ana;er �nd Chief of
Police who;produced a propnsed map of parking. It was suggested that if or when
adeptedl�the City Tvianager and City Attorney dr�aw up r.ecessary ordinances.
RAIN S�LTERS '
, Darrell Davis a�peared in G_�ehal.f of the Junior Chamber of Commerce thd.t the City
Council go on record to build one rain shelter, size �.pproximately 7 X i0 which
would cost from �125.U0 to �200.00 as a part of a special prograrn. The Council
held the m�tter until theCity .Attorr�ey checks the legaiity of these being
erected on public property.
AIRPORT LICENSE
Councilman Dunlap moved, and it was seconded by Councilman Ha.skell to authorize
executioh of a new licanse fo•r the City-�ounty Airport by the City Att,orney and

The City Engineer presented the City Council i�rith plans for the widening of
Railroad Avenue; they were studied, discussed and held over.

BIDS - WRFCI� OLD GR�MMAR SCHOOL
The City Council received one bid from Barton and Ops�.hl to purchase,
wreck and ranove the old Gra,runar School Building from �ity lot at Corner of Vaest
Street and Tehama St.reets. Bid read purchase for �500.OG less �100.00 from City
for cleaning up the lot. Bal�nce tca City �400.00 with allo�rance of three moriths
. �o co:nplete the job. The matter was held for flzrther study.
SIDL'(NALKS, CURASI�ND GUTTERS PROJECT PROGRAM
In regard to a City of Redding Sidewalks, Curbs and Gutters Project program,
it was moved� by Gouncilman Anderson, and seconded by Councilman Swarts that the
City of Redding proceed with a Sidew�i7..ks, CurUs and Gutter project, with the
City Attorney handlin� the legal proceedings. Voting �
