City &ttorney Newton read a Decree of Court #8306, dated December �1, 1933,
which stated� that the City of Redding OR The State of California is res-
ponsible for maintenanc� of a conduit..oue and across lands to be taken from
the ACID at that tim�,. There being a request for repairs to the conduit on ,
file from the ACID, the City Attorney was requested to check with li�ir. Hasel-
wood of the State ofCaTifornia. �

It was the decision of the City Council to let State of California Funds
for maintena.nce of City Right of VJays accumulate:; per: inquiry from R. A,
Tremper, Div, of Highways.
E, C. Doll, 1608 Chestnut Street asked the City Council asked f�r permission
to use composition pipe to replace soil pipe for sewage because of a short-
age of spil pipe,after checking with the City Engineer,Coun�ilman Anderson
ma.de a motion, seconded by Councilman Hemsted to waive that portion of the
City Code, Voting was as follows:

The City Engineer was also asked to make an estirnate of the Cost of filling
in a ditch which had been forced through property a� utiest and gth Sts,
John 'Nestor. was told that the City Council understood that any emergency
housing was in the hands of The Shasta County �overnment.

After much discussion, and under Sec. 594 of the t�unicipal Code, the City
Council referred th.e application for rezoning of East Street , 1/2 block
East and VJest frorri the 6enter of Said Street from Tehartia to S�cramento
Sts to th� Gity Planning Cornmission by a motion made by CounciLnan Anderson,
seconded by Councilman Brennan. �ating was as fpllows:
