Resolution No. 1361 Councilman Mderson made a motion seconded by CouncilmanBrennAn to adopt Resolution No, 1361. To termi.nate the proceedi.ngs to abandon and vacate alley extending N/S in Blk. 10, Park Subdivison; from State Street southerly and bounded both on the E and Y� by the undersigned owners of land abutting said alley, voting vras as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Anderson, Brennan, Haskell, Hernsted arxi Dunlap. NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT; Councilmen: Ptone Railroad Commission Approval oS �wer Contract Decision of the I?ailroad Cortmission approving City of Redding Povrer Contract with the P.G.& E, was read by City Attorney Glenn Newton. First Reaciing Ordinance No. 310 Councilman Anderson meade a motion, seconded by CounciLnan fiasliell to vraive first reading of OrcLinance Plo, 310 which will govern any street bus syste:s within the City oi' Redding. Voting was as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Anderson, Brennan, Haskell, Hemsted and Dunlap NOES: Councilmen:, None AF3SENT: Councilmen: None , Resolution No. 1362 Councilman Anderson made a motion, seconded by Counci Unan Brennan to rescind Hesolution I�o. 1351 to accompany plans application to State of California Department of Finance with reference to Post War Project, namely Sewage Disposal Plant, and adopt Resolution No. 1362 to accompany application to State of California, Dept, of Finance, with re£erence to Post P7ar project, namely Sewage Disposal Plant. Voting was as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Anderson, Brennan, Haskell, Hemsted and Dunlap. NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None Resolution No. 1363 A motion was made, seconded and passed by unaninous vote of.the Council to grant a Veteran�s L�ce�nption to George Green on his tax assessrnent for 1945. Park Accident The City Attorney and the City Engineer were instructed to look i.nto the incident of a child having her arm broken on a slide in the South Park, As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned to 6:00 P,�d., October 25, 1945, by a motion niade by Councilman Haskeil, seconded by Councilman Anderson, and passed by unanircous vote. P(OES: Councilmen: None • AI3SG[JT: Councilmen: None Anderson-Cottonwood Irri�ation District It was the decision of the City Council that City Attorney Glenn D, Newton should contact the Hureau of Reclamation on the water situation beSore the Anderson- Cottonwood Irrigation District would pull the boards in their irrigation ditch to make repairs, rrhich might leave the City of Hedding with a water shortage. , Sevra�e Disposal Plans City Engineer Ross, informed the Council that the Sewa�e Disposal Ylans are complete arri ready for an okay from the State oi' Califorrua Department of Sanitation. Alley S/East Street ;�Iilliam G. Hi11 appeared to protest closing of an alley off S, East Street, but as no petition }ias as yet been filed to close it, there was no action to be taken. City Bus System Petitions were filed with the City Clerk which asked that a Str•eet Bus System be owned and operated by the City of Redding, Resolution No. 1364 Councilman Anderson made a rnotion, seconded by Councilman Haskell to adopt Hesolution No. 1364 � apply to the State Board of I'ublic Health f'or a permit to construct a Sewage Disposal Plant. Voting was as follor:s: AYES: Councilmen: Anderaon, Brennan, Haskell, Hemsted and Dunlap. N�S: Councilmen: Anderson and Haskell. ABS�PIT: Councilmen: None Protest - GarbaRe Department William G. Hill protested the manner in whidi the girbage has been collected Trom the 1�asonic Temple. The City Council is to check inbo the matter, Insurance - City Fnqineer Councilman Haskell made a motion, seconded by Councilman Anderson that the City Insurance cover tBee Cit,y Engineer and his employees' private equipment when in use for the City and while it is on City property. This was passed by unanimous vote of the Council. Use of private cars for City business is to be checked into b;� the City Attorney.
