on East Street between Yuba and Placer Sts. This sei�er over- '
flowed v+ben Wm. ?�orrison connected into a private sewer.
Councilman Brennan made a motion, seconded by Councilman Anderson
that the Committee on Sewere end Draina check on this problem.

Albert 'r'. Barr, Northern Calif. representative of the veterane'
Council appeared before the Cit�r Counoil and egplained that a
^�400.U0 Fund was needed to aid indigent nnd transient veterana
and asked for a contribution of g200.00 Prom the City of Redding.
:.fter e discussion, Coufioilman Gronwoldt made a motion, seconded
by Courioilman Buchea to donate �2U0.00 to the 56asta County
veterans' Special Fund. voting was as follows :

Atty Stimmel protested the delay that had taken place in render-
ing a decision on the alleys in Block 10, Park Subdivision,
After a discussion the Council informed Air. S'timmel that an
ad�ourned meeting �vould� be held in regard to the matter at �

Frenk Williama aeked the Council to remove a fence that is
looated in South Street at Liberty, and the matter wa� turned
over to the City Attorney arid the City Engineer to take Care ot.

John I+'aynard of the �edding Camp Ground requested the Counoil
to furnieh rest rooms in the Soutti City Park, as restrooms in
bis t,lotor Court are being used. The Council told him it viould
be taken care of.

� in Redding, Councilman Buchea made a motion, seconded by
Conncilman Biennan to notify r'olay and �urke of authori-
zation to sbow in Redding in line xith policy of Cit�
Council in previous years ; also to notif�y them of increased
electrical ctiarges when shovring over one month-And and into
another. This was passed by Unanimous voting.

A petition dated �ay 1 , 1995, signed by fourteen reaidents
� of the Grandvievi Subdivision located out of the South City
Zimits Blong Railroad avenue, was read, apply.ing for City
i�ater. The motion vias made for the Clerk. to notify th�ae
� petitioners that if xtiey wonld3furnish their own pipe and
lebor and connedt into the city water mains , the City of
Redding would be glad to furniab water at a ten percent
increase in rates over users •inside the City. Thia motion
was made by Councilman 3rennan, seconded by Councilman
Buchea, ar.d passed by nnanimoua vote.

to authorize City Atty Newton and �ccountant E. J. Biahop to
make a survey �of the tovin in regard to businesa licenses.

alley, Sawger would deed the remaining 6 feet to make up the

YJm. Buchtel, fstty representing �i. G. L1cQuown, Carl A. Lengford,
and Fred Anderson, Plumbers of ttieCity, asked to meet �ith the
City Atty and tbe Building Inapector to rewrite a new �lumbing
Ordinence ; they maintain it should be more stringent and sbould
involve a permit fee. By testimony, it ise�vi�ient thnt the Uni-
form Bldg. Code does not ir_clude Plumhing and Lhat some Plumbing
has not been instslled correctly. These gentlemen�. filed their
proposed Ordinance tivith the City :�ttorr.e�, ind he is to get to-
gether with the Bldg. �nspector and drava -upca new ordinanoe.

Councilman �nderson reported that there are two good restroome
opening onto the grognds from under the grandstaad in the South
City Park. Therefore , tbere is no need in peo�le using the rest-
rooms in ??edding Camp Ground. _

again. It v�as decided that if the city brought a sewer m8in

feet in South Street at I,iberty ; and the Council ordered-the
