Brennaa to enlarga tha upper reeervoir to increase pumping capacity. �1e
it ie a bettezment to the Vlater Syatem, it would be paid for out bH the
�7ater Fund. T�e ,job would be done by City labor and equipment, and no

his property. fie says th�s is the third time it �s happened. jt was
eaplained to him tYiat due to the 178r Effort uafing all available machinery
� the �ity Las been unable to construct the Cypress Street Sevrer �utfall
and until they are able to dig deep enout,h to put in the drainage, there
is apt to be �rouble erith the secrer. �r. Stoxm assured F�r. Zogg that he
rrould clean up his property and do all he could to avoid a reoccurance oP
- this until the sewer could be taken care of properly.

�!r. A. A, Jordan of the State Dlviaion of Fish and Game brought up the
aubfect of the City of Redding aelling to the State oPCalifornia a piece
of property on (.`ypress avenue c�hich is nozr occupied by tbeir bird pens.
�r. Brennan suggeated that the City Engineer aurvey the piece of propaTty,
and �r. Huchea made a motion aeconded by Councilman �ndereon to sell the
property nrovided that a price ia agreed upon. Voting rras as followe�

a valuation on the property. The State rrants the reservation for a street
set aside, putting the piece of lsnd they now own and the piece which they

~� �r. Brennan informed the �ouncil Lhat �rs. Benton is interasted in selling
her rrater system in the Benton Tract, North Reddiqg to tha �ity of Redding.

take it over. jt wus stated that the City of Redding is obligated to aupply
�ra. Benton with water as long as �he has a certificata of convenience
