This meeting was called Por a general discussion of� the local airport;
repairs needed; mana��er; and applicants� nlans for future of airport. °
It was Arthu.r Ferlts opinian tbat� an airport close-in to Reddin� would
be �opular regardless oP the fact that another larger and finer airport
is situ�ted further out. ��or recreational. pur.poses, sor!�e of ,the fZyers
v�c�uld have only a fe:v hours at a time to sbend at the Birfield; end a
field near town for �'lyers traveli.n� through. In the nenr �uture this
airport runway should be len�thened to 5000 ft; that it might be c�e�:per
in the longrun to select a new site more adequate, as making a fill for
runm��y mi�h:t be a very expensive undertaki�g. The �irport as i.t is now
would not be adeouate for the cominunity in the future.

f�r aircraft; and wants to put in a ground school; and aircraft available
