On roll call the following were present: Anderson, Buchea, Gronwoldt and Dunlap

Transfer of F'unds �
It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gronwoldt �hat �ih�rsnmf'eP of �12,600.00
be transferred� from the yP�ter ;�epartment Fund to the �ater�orks 1937 Bonds�a�d
Interest and Sinking Fund; carried by the Pollowing vote:
Ayes,c Anderson, Buchea, Gronwoldt and Dunlap
Noes: None

John� Dockery, �upt of 94�ater Lepartment,. m,�,de a report to the City Council
�hat many commercial houses such as apartment and rooming houses in the City
are on flat water rates, and that Neter is the correct rate for commercial
consumers. He was instructed by Council to put all cor�nercial consumers on
meter rates.
Transfer� of Funds
it was moved by �nderson and Seconded by Buchea that the sum of �30,�OO.UU
be transferred� from the �ectrical �nd to tr�e General �znd; and carried by
tr!e following aote;

It veas moved by �gr. GronavoTdt and seconded by p;�r. Buchoa to recind the
motion calling for Bids on Garbage collection. Voting was a Pollocvs:

J�at. �ien:sted and�:Karl Hems�ed appeared i� regard to the City letting the
�uarbage�Depa-r.tment out for bid; at the present time they are buying the
sarill from the ,City of Redc]ing t�nd whether or not tYiey c�n look forward
� to feeding their hogs on the swill depends-on-�ahether the City dis.poses
� oP the Garbage Department, or keeps�it and continues ��'a�fur-gish the swill.
There Yiave--bedm-complaints from �Hemsteds� neighbors about the smoke from
burning; end the City Council�assured Hemsteds that as -long as they couTd
keep within the laws of the Department of Health; the :Cou�cil could give
no guarantees, but that the City wou�d furnish the �will to them until
further noti�ce.
Police Department .
Mr.. ;;holes, :Acting ChieF of Police, says complaints have come from residents
on River�ide �rive about music and noise from tr:e dances given at the City Park.
As thist:is in no violation of County or State l�ws, the �quncil says there is
nothing. to be�:-done about it..

P,7r. Sholes, says that Mr•. Evans of the Highway Maintenance Department of
the �ivision- of Highways-wants two red zones on eit�er side of the drive-
