The meeting was called to order by. �ayor August H. Gronvaoldt and
upon roll call by the City Clerk, the following Councilmen u�ere
present:=t�n�erson, �u�hea, Dunlap, Harrison and �:ronwoldt.
City Attorney Glenn D. NetNton was also present

I�Gr. E. �. Dick, Supt. of the Llectrical Dept. iniormed the City
Council that the Gerlinger Foundry �as goin� to install ant�electric
rurnace for the melting oi steel. i� ssparate substation r,vould be
needed costin� the ��ity approximately ��,UOU.00, also it would
need additional prope'rty at a cust of ��j50.00
i�1r. �ick :vas �;iven permission to proceed with the necessary
ap_r,lications and other arrar.�,ements ana report oack to the City
Counc il. All Councilmen voted in favor of the arran�ement.
Garba�e Ordinance
The City Council discussed the sar�a�e Ordinance �nd the first
raadin� was cvaved by the following vote:-

`rhe meeting was called to order by M�yor A. H. Grariwoldt and upon roll
call by the City Clerk the following Councilmen were present:-
Anderson, Buchea, Dunlap and Gronwoldt. .
Counc ilman Harrison was absent.
City Attorney Glenn D. Newton was also present, .
Gerlinger Foundr & hlachine 4Vorks
Mr. Gerlinger appeared before the City Coi.�ncil and outlined the plans
for the ne:v proposed steel casti.n� industry. he plans to install. Mr
� Gerlin�er told the Couneil it would be necessary to keep �Sacramento
Strebtclosad and parmit him to use this ri�ht of way for unloading
materials. 'T'he City Council assured ��Ir; Gerlin�er that the straet
would be kept closed and instructed Iir. Glenn D. Newton, City
Attorney to prepare the necessary arrangements.
Garbage Ordinance
The Garbage question was discussed at sorne length wit� many local
business men present after �vhich the council adjourned wit}iout
taking any action.
