any other vegetable garden or orcY�ard and declaring an emeraency was read
for the secoiid time and adopted by the follmwing vote: .
Ayes: Anderson, �unlap, Harrison end Gronwoldt
Noes: None �
Absent; Councilman Haskell
Resoluti'on � 1265 -
A Resolution approving plans and specificatinns for sewer work in the south-
e�.sterly portion. of the City oP Redding to be knoaun as the Cypress Street
outfall secrer and other connections to Park-Boardman�Sanitary Se.wer, and
authorizing call� fo-� bids as provided by law was read by Gity Attorney
Glenn Newton and adopted by the following vote;
Ayes: Councilmen, Anderson, Dunlap, H�rrison, and Gronwoldt

Junior Chamber of Comrnerce
The Junior Chamber of Eommerce was _gis�en permission to use the Ci�y Park
at the Sacramento River July 3, 4, 5, 19 43 and for the exclusive use of the
concession stand as in the� past. �

A letter was read from Mr. �on Pri. Chase, Minister of the It4ethodist re.guesting
t:Ze City Covncil t� grant the use of the concession stand at �;ake Redding '
to Church Groups to oper�te Por the remainder of thr� season. t�Ir. Chase Ras
informed by i�ayor August H. ",ron�uo�dt that as yet no bids were receive3 by
the ;;ouncil from any parties wishing to ape�'ate the stand �nd if no bids .
are received the Church Groups could heve fir.st preference.

I,2r. Scherenzel appeared before theCouncil regardin� tiie alley extendi�g
from Olive �venue to J Street in the C. L. Tezler ;;ub-division of Block J.
D��yn Additicn to Redding. r�r. �cheren��el stated that it was the intention
of tr�eCity Council to close this alley several years back , but as no records
could be Pound to substantinte this,City bttorney Glenn L. Newton �as ordered
to '"st��t procaedings anew.
