� following Councilmen were present; Roscoe J. �inderson, Ivan �.

Citq Attorney Glenn D. Newton was also preaent.

Special I��eeting was heTd on the 9th day of dpril, 1943�� at the hour
of $:00 P.ix4. for the purpose of determinin� �hether or not I�?�.ndamus
�.roceedings �shall t�e ?-rstituted against the Cour_ty of Shasta to can-
cel the taxes on the.�,�:property purchased from the �alifornia t�ater
Service. Company'on August 6, .i9�., for the fiseal year of- z94.i-42 and
subsequent years. After diecussion on the advisability of bringing
such .euit, Councilman Anderson- move� that the Resolut�ion, �Tumber 1260,
authorizing the City Attorney to proceed, be adopted. ancl. Councilman
Haskell seeonded the motion. Councilmen Ha:skell, Anderson and Fiarri-
son voted in Pavor of the motion and �ounciL�men Gronwoldt end Dunlap
� voted against the resolution.
