Seaeral women headed by P��rs. YJ. A. Vest appeared befora the City Counci�
end �de a complaint regerding the noise from a music box and also the
'� loud talking during the l�te hours at ni�ht a� t ho Rits Spot: Cafe which
is loeated on South �arket Street.
Police Chief Balma stated his oPficars Yiave gone to tnia cafe seeeral times,
but that the noiae continued. A copy of the prdinance a�iich prohibits
musi:c � t�e � from � music machines �f��r eleven P.It4. was given tQ=
the caYe .management.
�l�e Council assured the women present, the Chief af Folice would r,�ai�e arrests
�hould any further violationa take place.

nanee � 295, �vhich regulates the keepi,�g of animals 2nd poultry within the �
City �,imits, and addin� Sections 1462,A to 1462E inclusive to the �Iunieipal
Code. of the City of Re;ddin,�, was waived: The..Qrdinance was adopted by the
Pollowing vote; •

� The Redding Nosquito Abatement Di.strict, before the City Council and dis-
cussed what shou•ld be done to cle�r up mosquito breeding places in the=City.
lt:r. Saeltzer spoke regarding the cleaning of Caliboo�e Cr.eek. This matter
,ayas d�scussed with the City Engineer who atated'?this particular woxrk �ould
be- of seasonable nature only a.nd thut he� tivould look into this matter.
Mr. Saeltzer also spoke regarding the trouble he has experienced �ith water
coolers draining upon the ground and �2r. Glenn Ne�ton, City gitorney, was
instruct�d to prepare an Ordinance which would take care of this matter,

� County 3oard of Supervisors re�arding ths cancellation of taxes against the
nroperty which was purchased from t�e Califoxnia �tater Service (:om?�any by
�he City of Redd.ing. , the S�ag e�.rvisors refusing to n th�s::�<re ue t.

a�sinst these taxes being cancelled for. the City- of Redding.

review the agreement with the Califor.nia tilater �Service Company and also �oqer
any correspondence regarding this matter.

A motion was make, seconded, and passed that the moi�thly bills be pzid
after being audited by the Pinance committee. I
There being no Furthar business the meeing was duly adjourned.
