Councilman Haskell made a motion that the: . Shasta Cascade U'�onderland Asaociation
be given s'�d'oriation oP ,'�500.00; his m,otion seconded by Councilman Lowry9 and
on roll call, motion carried by unar.imous vote oP all councilmen present.
Reverend Fagen, a colored minister, requested that tbe Council sanction his
requeat to be allowed to solicit funds for the purpoee of establishing a
church for the colored population in Reddin�. He was advised that this sanetion
must be �iven Dy the �har�ber of Commerce.

Carl A. Willi�ms presented a elais for the Liability Insurance on the Cars oP the
City of Redding Por the year beginning Septe�nber 6,1�'42. Thie claim, to�ether
with the policq su�nztted by I�ir. Williams was rePerred to tl�e City Attorney, cle�m
was approvecl, and policy to be accepted subject `<to�;th� endorsement of the City
Attorneyr. -

A resolution adopting the budget �c�f thetG.ity of Redding for the fiscal ��ear 1�}2-�3
as submitted was read by the��_C:f�y ��tt�orney. Thi� resolution provided that the
General P�o�erty Tax r�te for the fisef:l year l�t}2-43 of the City of Redding
be fiaed at �1.00 for each �100.00 oP assessed valuation .

over the air port was read� by the City`Attcrn.ey. Couneflman Dunlap mede a motion
that this easement be granted, motion s econded by Councilman Haskell, and on roll
call motion carried by unanimous vote of all councilinan present.
Petition re: Goapel TPbernacle.
A petition was �receiv�d �y� eertain�r'e�idents oP Parkviev� avenue, asking th§,t some
action be taken to �bate the so ea2led disturbance caused by the congreg�t�on of
the Gospel Tabernacle. No ac�tion was teken.

Mayor Gronwoldt receined the sa.nc�ion' of t he Couneil to expend the s� or �35.00 per
