� Resolution N�. 1242
A ResolL?tion prasc�^ibing the �ompensation of certain officers, �eputies
subordinate officers and. employees of the City of Redding holdin�
esteblished nositions in the service of said city; �jnd delegetin� toe
executive officers and department he�ds the power to fix the comp•�nsation
' of employeos within their respective offices not holdin� esta�blished
positiuns in the service o� saici city, was read by the City Clerk.
Councilman Duiilep made e motion that this resolution be accepted. His
motion was seconded by Councilman Haekell and on roll call, motion
adopted by vote, oP e.11 Councilmen present.
Resolution No. 12Q�
A H�solu�ion �;T��irit1710 an increasE in compensation to all ofiicers and
employees whose compensation is fixed �y s�.lary resolution No 12q.2 for
the duration of the �var and six months thereaf'ter or until flzrther ordar
of the City Council, was r�ad by the City Clerk.
Councilman Haskell:made a motion that this resolution be adopted. His
motion w.�s seconded by Councilman Dunlap a.r:d on znll call resolution
adopted by all Councilmen�prasent.
Resolution No. 124Q.
A Resolution vr�5 re�d by the City Clerk c�nceling all delinquent taxes
of the City of Redding on the North 100 f't oP the Easterly portion of
lot 4, of blk 71 of the-Frisbie ��ddition to the City-of Redding, which
property wa_s purchased by Donald Frederick Bu rford at a tax sale conducted
by Thomas T�tcher, �aa Collector of the County of Shasta. This Resolution
provides that all delinquent texes of the City of Redding which were li�n
on said property prior to �/�rch 2, 1938 be c�nceled and that the �ity
' Attorney of the City of Redding is hereoy directed to niake a record
cancellation of same.
A letter was read from 11• C. Brown, Manager oP the U. S, Employment
Service expressin� appreciation for the cooperatior: tended by the police
Dep-_:r•traent and other city af�icials in the recruitine of vuorkers for
the farm section of this territory.

A letter dated July 1��, i942, from L�rsen Bros. , leasers of the city
owned Blue Gravel P�ine, w�s read by the City Cle-rk, in which they stete
that the encloged eheck would probably be the last payrnent the city would
receive for some time as the mine was a��.in worked out and no availaole
ore in yic„ht �t the present time.
There being no further business, the meetin� waQ duly adjourned.
