Davis, of Davis 14arket, 1a21 �lacer street addressed the Council , requesti.�g that some action be taken to eliminate exoess parking time taken by people in front of his r�arket. ° His request was referred to tne Poliae Committee for inv��stigation. 14ir. J. P. �mith advi sed tt�e Council that a pipe under a lill in the vicinity of' l�lillis and Y1est streets was now sto,�ped up, and �aas baokirig water in his yard, and requested that the Council have the �rain extended some twenty Yeet and have his fence fixed, which had washed out on acc�unt of this Pill stoppage. This matter ref�rred to the street cotnmittee. A letter Dated December ��, 1941 fro� the 20-30 Club of �edding, signed by Geo :VI. Alvarez, president , ,Harry r�.. vov�n�rd, Chatrman Safety Committee, calli•n� to the atte'rlt ion of the City Council a resolution pas:ed by the 20-30 Club No 143 on November 25, i941, in which the elub offered to place a white cross designating the location of each traffic fatality in the City of Hedair�, expenses incident d�o this work to be borne by the club. This resolution carried the en- dorsement of the Chief of Police. It vu�s decided by members oP the council present to lay this ma�ter over, f'or the present .
