Tuly 7,1941. 8 PM
Upon roll call by the City Clerk, the following Councilmen were present:
Ivan Dunlap, Brodie Haskell, Ray Lowry, A.H. Gronwoldt.
Absent: C+A. Williams.
The following City officials were present; Attorney Glenn D. Newton, Chief
H.T. Kluakens, Chief H.F. Riley, Engineer W.K. Adams, Supt. E.E. Dick.
The minutes of the meeting of Tune ?5th,1g41 were read by the Clerk, and
approved.
Monthly Claims.
Upon a motion duly made and seconded, monthly claims were ordered paid after
having been approved by the Finance Committee.
Chamber of uommeree.
H.O. Bostick appeared before the Council and thanked that body for the cooperat-
ion thet had been given by the various City officials ,in the entertainment of
the United States Army troops as they pasged through Redding.
Open Air Meeting.
A minister of the Pentacostial Church of God appeared before the Council and
requested permission to.hold an assembly on the streets of Redding. This
permission was denied by the Council.
There being no further business to bring before the Council, a motion was duly
made, seconded, and carried by unanimous vote of all Councilmen present that
the meeting adjourn until July 8th,1941 at 10 AM for the purpose of sitting ;
as a boo,rd of equalization.
