Council Chambers,
Redding, California.
June 25,1941.
Adjourned regualr meeting.
Upon roll call by the City Clerk:, the following Councilmen were Present:
Ivan A. Dunlap, Brodie liassell, Ray LoNry, Carl A. Williams, A.H. Gronwoldt.
Absent: None.
The following City Officials were present: Attorney Glenn D. Newton, Engineer
W' K: Adams, health Officer L.S. Scott.
Dr. Dozier addressed -the council at some length relative to the water situat-
ion.
Resolution Not 1210. 1, ',- �AQ./a
A resolution was introduced by City.Attorney Newton. This resolution provided
for the rescinding of Resolution No. 1189 relative topurchase of certain
assets of the California Water Service Company in the City of Redding.
After hearing the reading of this resolution, Councilman Haskell made a motion
that this resolution be adopted, motion being seconded by Councilman Williams,
and passed by unanimous vote.
Garbage Situation.
Health Officer L.S. Scott was directed to investigate numerous complaints
relative to the garbage situation and to report to the Cou-,icil his findings
as soon as possible.
Garbage Complaint.
A letter.!from Mabel Lowdor. Moores. was read, by the clerk. This letter expressed
'the dissatisfaction of the writer with the method in which the garbage situation
was being handled at her home.
Coordinating Council.
A letter was read from the Reddi::.g Coordinating Council expressing the approval
of that body with the action taken ,by the Council with reference to the
Carnival appearing in Redding during the first week of May 1941.
California Technical Institute of Peace Officers Training.
A letter fror:a Earl Warren, Attomey General and Chairman of Advisory Committee of
Peace Officers Training, was read in which he requested that the Council designate
. some officer of the City of Redding be _delegated to attend the Fifth Annual
California Technical Institute of Peace Officers Training. The Clerk was diredted
to refer this letter to the Police Committee.
Thea.e being no further business, a motion was duly made and,•seconded and carried
unanimously that the meeting adjourn.
