Schroch appeared before the City Council and asked �vhat action had been taken regarding sewer disposal facilities in the S� corner oi the City. City �lttorney lyewton advised him that it wa� not possible' for the City of Redding to render any assistance relative to installation of a seeuer for this district. Underpass �t Hill Street. A coraraittee coasistin� of 4'l. D. Simon, Jackson Price, John Reiser and E. _`�. Kirk of the Reddinb Charuber of Couunerce appeared before tne City Council relative to an underpass at Hill Street. It was decicied to have tile Stree.t Committee of the City Council meet �i.th the chamber corumittee for a conference with F. W. Hazelvrood, State Hi�hway District En�ineer on t his matter. � Ivionthly, Bills. Upon a moti on by Councilman Grontivoldt, seconded by Councilu�an Hill , tl�e monthly bi lls v�ere ordered paide Permission To Leave The State. Upon a rnotion by Councilman Frazier, seconded by Councilman Hill, p�ruiission was �;rar�ted any Councilman to leave tiYe state at ar�y ti�:e durin� the next fiscal year. Nye subrLittinb a proposal for a fleet policy cogering fire and theft on all of' -;;;�� the equip�ent or the City of Reddir� for approximately �p263.26 was ap�roved by the City Council and the �eneral Insu�ar�ce A�ency i�ag notitied to issue a policy in accordance with the letter dated aeptember 3, 1940. Resolution No. 1171. A resolution adoptin� the budUet �'or the City of 13euc�i�i�; for the f'isca� year 1940-41 as submitted was introduced �vhich resalution provided that the General �'roperty tax rate for the fiscal year of 1940-41 fcrr the City of Heddin� be fixed at �1.00 For each �100 assessed valuation. A resolution was introduced aatnorizing the City oi �ed�:ir�;; to pay the sura of $�25U to the Estate � Harriet L. Frisbie to acquire title to the real property used by the City of Redding as a corporation yard. This resolution was passed by unaniirious vote. Resolution No. 1173. A reaolution was intro�uced relati.ve to the constructed extensions to the � �lunicipal V�ater S�ste-ra under contract to the Oaltland aev�er �onstruction Co. as per resolui;ion of award on tne 6th day of l�2ay, 1940 , total bid price according to estimated quar�tities and unit price �as �6,213.3U, wheieas due to extension not in tlie original part of the contract , cnan�es tivere necessary. This resolution provided that payment be made to the contractor on the_basis of final quantities nerein approved arid 'uein� a pa.,.rt of triis resolution for t�e sum of d�7 ,554.70. This resolution r�as adopted by unar!imous vote. Resolution i�"o. 1174. Whereas tlie City of�tecldi��� has coristructed extensions to the i�Iunicipal 'Nater System under cor�ti:ract to the �anland Sewer Consi;ructior Co. as per resolution oi' award on the 6th day o� t��?ay, 194U aiid as this contract has been coinpleted to the satisfaction o;' the City Eri�ineer witllin 1;he i;ime allo�ved it was resolved that the coxistruction is satisfactory and acceptable to the City of Reddine and the final pay�ient be rnade , upon a mo�;ion by Councilxnan Hill, seconded by Councilman T'hatcher.
