follows:

he did not feel that City Engineer Hill ,should represent the -�ity
of Redding and rarley, and that no value had ever been set upon
the two parcels of. land. Engineer Hill defended his position by
� stating that he represented Farley before he became City �ngineer.
Councilman Anthony stated that the value of the parcels would be less
than the cost of the zig-zag aceess to the reservoir.

and Mrs. Florence B. Muhm regarding the op�ning of a dedicated.� alley
which parallels West Street between $th and 9th Streets, �Block 'J �of
the .Schearer Addition. Mrs. Mnhm, attending the.Council _meeting, �
� explained that there is a �15,000 inv.estmerit which��comprises a '4:
apartment dwelling which would be completed'within the ne� two �aeeks.
This building is in the allep and there is no egress or ingress,
except through this alley. There .was considerable discussion as to
_ the Cityt s �position �.and it �was decfd'ed to' r,efer�the matter to the
'r Street Committee and the Council would give the answer within two
weeks. "

County Clerke City Attorney Carlton verified that the petit�ion was
in order and said� the next procedure was to pass a formal resolution
