There is hereby added a new section to Ar�ticle ITI, Chapter III,
Part I of the ti2unicipal Code of the Cit3T of Redding, which shall be
numbered �0(a) and vahich shall read as follows„ �
Section g0(a) :
1. There is hereby created and establisned a City publicity
ar�d advertising fund �ursuant to Sections �.0,100-�.0,103, inclusive,
of the Government Code of the State of Califori�ia9
2. lhe City Council of the City of Redding snall annually
appropriate a sum of money to such fund for city publicity and
advertising purposes and the a�gregate of such sum shall not exceed
5� (�0.05) on each �1�0.00 assessed valuation in the City of Redding.
3 . Th� amount of money appropriat�d to sueh fund rnay be in-
creased durin� any fiscal year of the City of t�edding but the total
- � amount appropriated tnereto in any one year shall not exceed the
lin�it hereinabove in para�raph 2 se�t forth9
�.. 1he n±onies appropriated to such fund shall be used for
city publicity and advertising purposes and the funds therefror�i shall
. be withdrawn pursuant t;o a resolution therefGr by tne City Council
of theCity of Redding9
5 . ivotwithstanding anything above prc�vided, the City Council:
of -the Cit,y of Redding, shall have the right to vaithdraw rnonies
frorr�?�the fund hereinabove established at any time �nd use such rrioney
for any lawful purposes or to transfer such nlonies so withdrawn to
any other fund of the City of Keddin� for Iawful uses.

Library was put �o better utilizatian, aiy��le space could be provided

soon as possible, Carlt,on stated trzat an opinion would be sent to

ancl •presented his case �o the Council saying he had been billed for

CitZT i}lanager Storr,i reviewed the case for the Council statin� that th�.
Architect concurred wit`_� him that the (:ontractor and Subcor�tr�ctor "
were avaare of tne change in plans. Ana tha� for an extra 70 feet
of �vork�`Hu�y subi�litted a proposal of `�;b50. for �he work; did not finish
tivcrk and the Cit� ,finished 1g0 f�et of j,vork contracted for by Huey
and charged Huey `w320. This sum covered a larger amount of wark
than Huey pro�osed to cto for the City. The City I!�lanager stated he
fel� that Huey had been. �iven a reasonable charge.
