outlined plans w'r�ereby �he posse woul�3 detielon the area for `rodeos, norse
racin�;, horse shows �nd a place ,�rhere drills coul.d be had, He al.so st�f,ed
immediate construction of a.n arena And temporar,y grand stand, and later a
permanent ,rand stand would be built, Shasta County has six or�anized riding
clubs u�ith approximately 300 members, v�rhich �r.�ould bring considera':�le revenue to ,
the City, 1�,,�'r. tIoward sta-ted that he favored a ten year lease, as it would be
impossible for the Posse to carry out their plans on a short term lease and
�v�ould appreci�te an ansvaer at an earl,y d�te. No action was taken at this time,

the cost oi such a pro�ject vrould be available. Cit,y �diana�er Storm state�i mncn
engineerin�; had been done, and it vuould be probably early summer before the cost
of this project v�roul:l be �vailable. -

lengtn, Councilman S.^�arts made a motion that tne lease �rrith the necessary changes

City Attorney Carlton presented a correci�ed deed of the Spade nroperty on �incoln
Street. This prop�:rty is a ri�ht of tiva,y for street nurposes. Af'ter City Attorney
' Ca.rlton exnlained the corrected deed, a mo�tion was made by Councilman Bucnea, and
seconded by Councilm�n S1ti�a,rts,. thAt the deed be acce?�ted as cor.rected. On roll call

traffic entering Yuba Street. This m�t�er vras referred to the Street Committee
for further study and to reoort back at �L'ne next meeting.

Police stated I'v�r, Niiller has been a �;reat help to the Folice Denartrnent on many

and stove oil was brought before the Council members. A motion was then made
by Councilman Anthony, and seconded Uy �ouncilman �uchea, that th.e Rich.field
Oil Co7npany be awarded the contract f'or gasoline, and the Reddirr Oil Compan.y
be ativarded the contract for stoue and di�sel oil. . On rol)_ call votin� was as
