The meeting was called to order. by Mayor Anderson and upon roll call the
f'ollowing Councilmen wer� present: Anthony, Buchea, Morrison, Swarts
a,nd Anderson.
City Attorney Carlton was alsa presen.t.

Mayor Anderson at this time stated all Counci]snen received a copy of the
rninutes of the meeting af November 1, 191�8, and if tk�ere were no objections
the msnutes of the previous meeting would not be read by the City Clerk.
No objections being raised, the minutes were �.pproved as per cop,y received
by each Councilman.
PORTRAIT HON. Fi, B. RE'ADITIG
Richard B. Ea.Ton, Redding Attorney appeared. bef'ore the City Council on
b ehalf of the Redding Chamber of Cor.�merce arid presented to the CitS� of
Redding, a portrait of the La.te Hon. Fi. B. Rer�ding, for whom the Cit�T of Redding
was named. This portrait was ori.oinally presented to .the Redding ::hamber
of Corrsnerce, bytlfrs l�iae Helene Ba.con Boggs, but due to a suital� le place
for displa.y, it accepted N1rs. B�g�s� suggeation to present this portrait t.o
the City of R.edding for display ir�_ the Council Chamber. Ai'ter a brief �

a motion was inade to this effect by Councilman Buchea._.:and seeonded by

The matter of a street rignt of way to extend Ga.rden avznue was brnught
before the Council by City Attorne;y Car�T-on who stated that Citg
Nianager Storm co:�t�,cted Air. Roy ���I:illen and that I�Ir. :�Iu11en would donate
a strip of property b0 feet wide�~�y 200 feet long for this purpose,
providing he would not have to er.ter into any agreements regardin� sid.e-
��alk curb and gutt�rs ior th next three years on this particular street.
Should property bQ sold on this �treet d��,ring this time, this agreement
would be void. After discussing P•?r. lfullens attitude �.,1 this matter
City Attorney Carlton was instructed to go ahead ar.d pre�axe the necessary

effect was made by Councilman Swarts and seconded by Councilman Buchea.

actior. was taken. City i�ianager Storm and CitSr attorney Carlton were in—
