A request dated.September' 18th f`rom IVIr. G. E: Milton for permission�to use the
ball park several nights sometime the early part of October for the purpose of holding
Evangelistic .Services was presented.
City Manager Stites suggested this rnatter b.e given careful consideration to avoid
tke establishmerit of a poiic1y that.,_might lead-to .future difficultiea. .

authorize the City Manager to secure an option on this property.

Mayo.r Williams `stated tliat ,teams of the Pacific Coast League had played to success-
ful audiences in Chico, while larger cit'ies competing with television were not drawing
the crowds. It was his prop.osal that the member teams of the Pacific Coast League
consider the use of,the Redding.Baseball.Park for such garne:s as,they may wish, to:

The C:ity Council authorized the Mayor to contact such team�s as he. deemed would be
interested in this proposal, arid further suggested games, if held, be under the auspices
of the Redding Recreation Commission,
