the First Part, hereinafter called the City, and LIZZIE B, THIBAUT�, a widow,
the Party of the Second Part, hereinafter called bhe-Grantor; -
WHEREAS., the City of Redding desires to purchase fr.om the owner thereof
. certain rights of way lying and being on Eureka Way, Road 11=Sha-2'0-`Rdg. , �and
being situate on said Eureka Way between the westerly limits of the City of
Redding and Market 5treet of the City�of Redding, including the right of way
hereinafter described; and,
WHEREAS, the Granbor is willing to sell to tke City the right of way herein�-
after described for the purpose of permitting the State _of California to construct,

Mr. Weldon Oxley appear.ed before the council for the third tirne requesting council
consideration of the issuance :of additional fire insurance bo cover the needs of the
eity, and furtker recommended that an auditing firm be hired by the city for a com-
plete audit .of all irnprovement valuations.
. Acting City Manager Elbert Dick informed the council that the report of the Shasta
County Irisurance Association would be in the rnail Friday; according to.information
received.
Mayor Williams_ deferr_ed this, subject until the council meeting of August 4th, and
informed Mr. .O,�.ey no action would be taken prior to this date.
Mr. Harry Hazeltine, insurance agent, -informed the council he would like it placed
on record that he hoped to rec.eive some of the city�s insurance business.
